We have a logo that truly reflects the aspirations embedded in the Association’s strategic direction forward. In August 2020, artist Raniera Ellison (Rarotonga, Aitutaki, Mangaia, Aotearoa Māori) was commissioned by Te Vairanga Kite Pakari and tasked with creating a logo and brand that matched the Association’s aims.
Leadership. Collaboration. Education.
“Knowledge is the food of a Leader. Weaving the different strands within the association together. People bringing their expertise sharing it out to the wider people. Creating a space of intellectual sustenance for the next generation of Cook islands learners and Academics'" - Raniera Ellison

Artist, Raniera Ellison, is well-known in Rarotonga for his work across various mediums. Following training in the art of whakairo (carving in wood) in Ōtautahi (Christchurch, NZ), Raniera returned to Rarotonga. He has since produced hundreds of artistic pieces in shell as a carver, and on skin as a tattoo artist. Raniera’s deep commitment to story-telling shines across his artistic portfolios and the Association is pleased to wear his digital design work, a further extension of Raniera’s skill and talent as a Cook Islands Māori artist.
