Rochelle Ellison-Lupena (Rarotonga, Mangaia, Ngāti Porou, Ngai Tahu, Ngāti Whakaue) is a lecturer at Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington. Her research interests focus on health equity for Māori and Pacific peoples through community-driven system change. Her previous research drew on Health Promotion theories to explore the impact of NCD’s in the Cook Islands. Rochelle’s broader area of research interests focus on equity-driven public health, health promotion, social determinants of health, and health equity for Māori and Pasifika in Aotearoa, New Zealand.
