About
Mata is an experienced educator and professional in the policy & research sector. His academic interests have included negotiation, strategic studies and intelligence gathering with a focus on geopolitics. Notably, his Masters dissertation focused heavily on North Korea’s role in geopolitics and negotiation tactics.
Mata has previously lived in South Korea for 20+ years and taught as a lecturer in Seoul for 15 years. He has a keen interest in South Korean cuisine and culture, and is the author of ‘Coconuts & Kimchi’ - a newsletter that focuses on life in South Korea and Rarotonga respectively.
